Re: SFault's franken art
The level 4 berserker is somehow... Scary. I mean, it almost looks like some sort of hormone monster. xD
I mean, simply because of that he's full of tattoos... I don't know why, but I see them as veins.

Check out my sprites!
Re: SFault's franken art
I agree, the tattoos are very distracting. He looks more like a lavander The Hulk than the tattooed man at the circus.

Re: SFault's franken art
I'd say Berserker level 2 looks bigger than level 3 and 4... maybe making them bigger would make the tatoos use up less of his skin... dunno.

I'd say it's more of an issue of him having less hair. He should be having more hair the wilder he get IMO.PeterPorty wrote:I'd say Berserker level 2 looks bigger than level 3 and 4... maybe making them bigger would make the tatoos use up less of his skin... dunno.
Re: SFault's franken art
Thanks for the comments. The lvl 3,4 are not smaller. The lvl2 dude is just few pixels higher than the rest. But I think I need more contrast on the tattoos or something.
The more hair didn't really end up well...Neoskel wrote:I'd say it's more of an issue of him having less hair. He should be having more hair the wilder he get IMO.

I don't know... he's furious, drinks a lot, and probably gets stressed with anything
He should really lose the hair as he advances from "age"

Re: SFault's franken art
I insist, if a level two is even 'a few pixels higher' than a level four in the same path of advancement.... something is wrong.

Re: SFault's franken art
Ugh... Bad English. I meant that the unit it placed bit higher on the picture. It is as tall as the rest. Perhaps I could make the others taller. Bit odd that the lvl1 is actually 2px taller than the lvl2 unit...PeterPorty wrote:I insist, if a level two is even 'a few pixels higher' than a level four in the same path of advancement.... something is wrong.
I'm a bit surprised that nobody has commented on the big goofy axes they get. I assume that they are ok then.

Re: SFault's franken art
How come he grows his hair between levels 1 and 2 but gets a haircut between 2 and 3?

Because fighting with long hair sucks..?'Captain_Wrathbow wrote:How come he grows his hair between levels 1 and 2 but gets a haircut between 2 and 3?
Besides, unit loses hair from the top at 1-2 transition. I'll see if I'll add a long mullet to the guys, but I really don't belive it would look good.

Re: SFault's franken art
I just thought it kind of strange that one of the changes introduced in the level 2 is undone in 3 and 4.
Re: SFault's franken art
The main problem here is that logically a berserker would use less armor and stuff when advancing, but graphically units usually gain more armor and TC. Perhaps they should grow a TC punk mohawk?

Re: SFault's franken art
I think a better solution would be to just remove the back hair on the level 2 so the line has a thinning hairline throughout. The added hair takes away a lot of their character IMO.

Off the topic of hair: I love those huge axes!
^Might be a good idea.shiremct wrote:I think a better solution would be to just remove the back hair on the level 2 so the line has a thinning hairline throughout. The added hair takes away a lot of their character IMO.
Re: SFault's franken art
Gave him a rough haircut for all the frames but the idles. Wanted to animate it, but the photoshops animation tool is absolutely horrible piece of poo. While editing I noticed that the core image attack2 has transparent pixels in the head.
