Idea to do the drakes a bit less weak to cold atacks.
I think, honestly, -50% res to cold is very nasty. Dark adepts at night time does 19-2 to the poor drakes. 19-2 is very high, you can kill with 3 Dark Adept's hit (or sometimes with 2 hits...) every lv1 drake unit, and if your leader is atacked for one of this can lose almost the half of it's hp by one Dark adept
I do an idea to decrease their cold weakness of 50% to 40%... That should do the Dark Adepts decreases their dammage at night time to 18-2 or to 17-2 and should do help in the balance.
The Augurs should do the same 7-3 to the drakes at nightime, and Oracles, should do them at night time 11-3 instead 12-3.
Undeads players, only, do an spam of Dark Adept and win frequently... because drakes DON'T HAVE any cold ressistent unit... and Saurians, haves to low hp and them take murdered in 2 dark adept's hit at night time too.
What do you think about this??

Drakes have two weaknesses: pierce and cold
blade=10
arcane=-30
cold=-50
fire=50
impact=20
pierce=-10 (only counts for Burner,Fighter and Glider lines)
The cold weakness thing balances the drakes
But the arcane thing, that concerns me.
may it should reduced to -10

- Mobility
- Good strikes and damage for most units (they're usually 3-4 strikes with 5-7 damage each)
- Have both lawful and chaotic units
- Are like undead in the sense that countering with the right units is murdering them, but without the right units you are murdered
- Have almost every attack type (all except arcane) which makes them powerful
- Poor defense for drakes and low hp for saurians
- Point 4 in the advantages
About the arcane vulnerability, drakes are magical creatures like elves and undead. Thus they have a weakness to special magic like that. But from a gameplay perspective, what arcane units are really out there? White Magi? Can you really level a Mage unless you've spammed saurians? And saurians have decent arcane resists. Elvish Sorceresses? Elvish Shamans are murdered by Clashers and Fighters. DAs? They won't use their arcane attack, they'll use their more powerful cold attack? Ghosts? Yes, these are the true problem, although you can kill them with burners easily. I think they buffed the ghost because without that, undead have no real mobility counter to the drakes. Bats are too weak. The undead players needs some ghosts to capture villages, so they need to be a little tougher. So there's about the arcane stuff.

IPS: This is not how you propose a change to the balance of mainline factions.
#1. This belongs in the multiplayer forum.
#2. Stating X units have problems versus Y units isn't any kind of proof. It's not something the developers should take seriously. Even providing replays of yourself having trouble isn't good proof. You need to post replays of yourself defeating others by using this exploit (if it really is one) when it's clear that both of you have about the same skill level.
I'll leave this thread open if you are up to the task of providing real proof to give to the developers. Otherwise, don't post in this thread. It is soft-locked, meaning further posts, on either side of the discussion, will result in the thread being locked.
