Re: SFault's franken art
The one in Group One for my RPG.
Re: SFault's franken art
I think the "elven zombie princess" sort of looks like a normal elven princess, but covered in a green goo. To improve this, you could create more contrast or value differences between the shades of green, and maybe introduce a couple non-green detail colors.
Re: SFault's franken art
I decided to make a dwarven campaign. Here are two scenery toppings for caves. A gold vein and a shattering, that will be used to dig an opening.
Btw: Adding items to the middle of hex works well, but is it easy to add things on the walls?

Re: SFault's franken art
I think the cracked wall blends too well with the rest of the walls. Maybe make the cracks bigger?

You are an Arch Mage - You're definitely intelligent, but some people would say you spend too much time inside. The power you have learned, however, is simply unmatched.

Re: SFault's franken art
The vein of gold has the exact opposite problem... it stands out too much. Gold isn't nearly that bright a yellow either... it has more of a duller orange coloring. See here for examples of what I'm talking about.

Re: SFault's franken art
The gold looked more to me like some sort of tribal cave painting. I saw someone striking down another guy with a lightning bolt.
Re: SFault's franken art
The gold was supposed to be a motherload, but I think the lesser is better.
Instead of cracks I made a narrow hole. Is it now clear enough?

Re: SFault's franken art
The color is better, but the lines are too straight and angular. It still looks more like a cave painting of a man with a walking-stick and a dog wagging its tail.
Try adding some irregularities in the lines and instead of all the lines being complete lines, have some of them have gaps, like the vein is descending below the rock and emerging again.
As for the hole, the edges of the hole are too soft. It looks more like a giant black fuzzy cave caterpillar than a hole in the wall. You should give the crack defined edges and try to give it a three dimensional effect by having the far edge extend into the hole a little (if that makes any sense).
Also the rock at the bottom of the hole is obviously a rock taken from the wall and rotated. That makes the highlights and shadows on it disagree with the rest of the wall. Also, a single large football-shaped rock doesn't really make sense from a rockfall leaving a crevice in a cave wall. There should at least be a couple somewhat smaller rocks piled with it.

Re: SFault's franken art
Gold veins are now more covered.
I really need to think the cracks from the start. It seems that the current way is not going to cut it.

Re: SFault's franken art
Here are some dwarf-adds for my upcoming campaign. The level 0 fighter possibly needs much work.

Re: SFault's franken art
Masks are completely taboo for Wesnoth dwarves, as seen in tHoT, Might want to think about that.

Re: SFault's franken art
One of my fav campaigns. Originally I was planning to frankenstein the main villain from it, but ended up with something else. Anyways, here he is unmasked. Also gave the lvl 0 unit bit more weaker look.thespaceinvader wrote:Masks are completely taboo for Wesnoth dwarves, as seen in tHoT, Might want to think about that.

Re: SFault's franken art
Maybe the lv 0 could look like a miner?... Or a blacksmith?
I mean, Loyalists have peasants, the dwarves could have some sort of miners or smiths added to the mainline (I remember seeing a dwarvish miner in a campaign, but as far as I know they didn't look as good as the actual dwarves)

Re: SFault's franken art
I think it's the sceptre of fire. Actually I intend to make separate miner units, with different special abilities. The blacksmith might be good idea. Removing the axe would make the unit much weaker.Monroid wrote:Maybe the lv 0 could look like a miner?... Or a blacksmith?
