"Eh, clearly wesnothian cuttlefish have skeletons."
Which makes total sense. A real life cuttlefish that size would collapse under its own weight, therefore bones.

Grandiose
Maybe do a little more than elements of the tail ?

Re: Cuttlefish sprite redesign - finished
I think it's not needed. It's not a real undead cuttlefish, you may consider it some crazy necromancer's dream or "hunt trophy" of some snobbish noble
Maybe I will make real undead cuttlefish on the basis of death animation frames but first I have to finish Kraken. The work on it will be rather slow, I'm afraid, because this unit is quite large.

Actually - your cuttlebone would make a nice scenery element. A funny easter egg, at least.

Heck, it would make a nice undead monster, with some animations. And we have a good and logical reason for its needing a skeleton, too.
I'm good with undead skeleton cuttlefish.

I don't want to be a nitpicker, but I know some things about the skeleton, that cuttlefish actualy has and it looks realy different compared to image of the cuttlebone. I know, this is just for fun, but couldn't you make in the "body" part of the cuttlefish something like shell(rudiment of the evolution from the amonite-like cephalopods) or cuttlebone. Real cuttlefishes have something like that.
I know, that this reply has only low value to this project, but I couldn't help myself.

WINR. If you read the thread, you'll find out we had this exact discussion already. If it's not a long thread, give it a quick scan before you post next time

I'm really surprized. No, I wouldn't use it as regular undead unit. As a curiosity - yes, as an element of architecture - why not. But a joke is a joke. Let's keep some degree of realism in this game.thespaceinvader wrote: I'm good with undead skeleton cuttlefish.
