That's simply different interpratations of the descriptions: it's the artist's freedom. The only portrait that is very different from the sprite is the third level, spectre: the sprite is more like an enchanted armour, no tusks, no robe. But since Kitty's portrait is beautifully finished, we could simply add a black cap on the top of the armoured specre in the sprite. The second level, wraith, has a very big sword (and armour) the portrait (if any) shouldn't forget (even one of the attacks clearly shows a mystic sword with a skull at the base of the blade)

We don't alter portraits to match sprites, or vice versa. As long as the portrait recognisably depicts the intended unit, then artistic license in variations on it are perfectly OK. The portrait is fine, the sprite is fine. I'll be committing the portrait tomorrow.

but consider a certain option..correct me if i'm wrong but the lev3 has only 1 frame right now..suppose someone did make a sprite altered to fit the portrait..has a chance getting through?

We'd look at it but make no further guarantees than that. I know Jetrel considers the ghost sprites finished, animated or otherwise.

Has anybody has idea for idle animation (exept floating)?
What whould You say for Spectre gently stroking scyth's blade? Just like it would preparing for total choping and massacring?

I know it's hell of work to animiate it, but...
