On what version did you first play Wesnoth?

0.9.7 I think. I vaguely remember trying out an earlier version and not really getting into the game at that point, but when I tried out the 0.9, it was really good and I played a lot for a while after that. Haven't played for like a year now, when I tried to build 1.6a it failed on my computer so I just did something else, now 1.6.4 seems to be building ok so I will be back!

First one I played MP on was 1.1 but I played campaigns in 1.0.something

Hmmm, I just looked through a bunch of older screenshots and now I think I first played 1.0, or maybe even earlier. Previously, I thought it was 1.2.

0.8.6 or so... What a memories when hills and mountains graphs changed, and ghosts had -50 holy and normal undead -100 holy and when i played the dark hordes and were on mainline... also the valley of yetis on HttT

With the yeti, and the cockactrice, yeah. I still remember how they petrified Delfador the first time i played. Then i rode the ability description...

Btw, is cockactrice used elsewhere here in game?? I mean, in other campaign.

My father got a disc with a few old games on it about 5 months back,and it had Wesnoth 1.0!
A little while afterwards I got 1.4 and haven't got round to updating again!
