How did you find out about Wesnoth?

one of my friend introduce me With Wesnoth , But honestly At first i Really don't like the game But After Some time i fell in love with wesnoth, its take upto 3 weeks .

First time I played Wesnoth was on a Linux a few years ago. I think it was dyne:bolic, it came with a bunch of other neat games too. (Wesnoth and Nethack were the best)

I had the Knoppix operating system on my old laptop, I thought Wesnoth was a little Knoppix game like Hearts or Pinball...

Eventually I looked it up online, realised it was stand alone game, and got it for Windows XP.

One day I just googled "free games for Mac" as I was utterly bored (back when I was sick and couldn't work) and one of the sites I found had Wesnoth available on it (of course, the download link re-directed here)…

i was going to play a strategy game but i acidently clicked on thi one the i decided to play abd then i got adicted.

I first found out in my PC magazine. It was version 1.2, I think. It got 3/5, but after I played it, I knew that wasn't fair. Next time, same magazine, it was version 1.6, it got an 5/5!

I found Wesnoth through BfW's entry in the TV Tropes Wiki(http://www.tvtropes.org), which I frequent a lot. I hadn't seen any good computer-based turn-based strategy game, and I was tired of real-time strategy. Since Wesnoth was free, I decided to try it out. I've been hooked ever since.

Now every time I play a campaign, I pick out the major tropes in the story and add them in the TV Tropes entry.

I don't remember exactly how I found out about Wesnoth, but I think I stumbled upon it by chance while aimlessly surfing the web. Since I love turn-based strategy games I decided to check it out, and I wasn't disappointed
