REQUEST - death animation for bone shooter

Post by Jetrel »

I'd like it to be like the skeleton, so that it can be used for both death *and* recruiting. Should be fairly straightforward, feel free to liberally borrow/trace from the actual skeleton animation.

:hmm: Not a lot else to say, I suppose.

(We'll eventually want one for the banebow and draug as well. Feel free to do those as well/instead, if you'd like.)

I was trying to do it, but I ruined the boots, I do not quite understand how to use the colors in them, there are a lot of different ones, not like the bones that use only a light color, a dark one and one between.
:S
Can someone explain me?
Thanks.

The colors are still random, but zoomed out I think it looks better...

Likewise. Continue, please. :)

The colors are represent the (presumably armor-plated) boots, or whatever the material is, beginning to decay and get a mottled pattern. It looks a lot better than having a flat, solid color, which is visually boring.

Thanks for your encouragement!, but I will start again :/

I didn't notice this mistake until now, the colors in frame one are all wrong,
I was working with anti-alias turned on! :augh:
Always turn off that thing!!! :x

 Well, don't feel too bad - that slipped past my eyes, too. It does break team-color (and any other potential recolorizations), though, so it is important. Good thing we caught it fairly early, eh?

Good luck. :)

There an option in Preferences to save the current tool settings or save them on every exit. Perhaps that may help...
I got better!

Indeed. It can be a bit buggy, though. And it gets mildly irksome when, like me, you regularl switch between spriting and portraiting, which require completely different setups of things like anti-aliasing and opacity, and hard-edged tools...
