Re: Outlaws! Ranger
I second that, but still as it is, it's quite good and I enjoy looking at both of them over and over again
the only thing I can think about is the ranger unit's alignment, and maybe one may expect someone with a less friendly face, but I'm sure that can find its counter argument..

That's true. He's a creature of the night. While I don't think he has to look really mean, I don't think he should look too sociable either.

Re: Outlaws! Ranger
I'm cool with either of the hats, they certainly knew how to knit in medieval times. The short beard looks sensible too, close shaving is an activity more easily associated with indoor comforts.
There are few little things, however:
There are few little things, however:
- The left arm is weird, as already mentioned. I think the arm is about the right length, but the elbow joint is too high.
- He only seems to wear half a belt. The belt looks like it's heading down toward the sword, but the sword is attached with long straps to something else higher up, behind the arm.
- There's a strap coming from under the cape, but it then goes over the cape on the shoulder. If both ends of it are supposed to be attached to the same thing, they could only do so through a hole in the cape in the backside.
- The aforementioned starp isn't heading toward the quiver, so what's holding the quiver in place? Now it looks like it's stiched to the cape.

Great ranger!
FWIW I like the first cap version best - it gives me a feel of yugoslav partisans. The hat could be knitwork or felt, either way nothing I could not make directly from sheep wool myself.

Re: Outlaws! Ranger
Great job kitty, the weathering on the face turned out very well.
My only one minor question is if the fletching on the arrows were detailed? They seem a bit flat and lacking texture to me due to the one color triangles being used, but that's just my two cents.

Re: Outlaws! Ranger
I know this may just be an optical impression enhanced by the fact that his sleeves are baggy, but it seems as if the elbow of his right arm bends at a higher point than the elbow of his left arm. I am mainly taking this from the bend in the sleeve on the inside of his right arm and then the comparative length of the forearms.
Beyond that, I really do like the outfit kitty, that's a great job. It certainly fits extremely well with the sprite, particularly the feathers on the head and the mask.

Re: Outlaws! Ranger
I love the eyes! The mask bothers me a little bit because my eye wants to see it either hug the chin or hang more loose than it currently looks. Keep it up!
Re: Outlaws! Ranger
Thanks for pointing the issues with the ellbows and the chin out - I'll fix them in the next pass, I'll need to try out if shading can fix them or if i need to fiddle with the lines a bit.

The hand holding the bow should have its wrist above the string.
