About the "pretty balanced...."

What are you basing that on?

Having played it on both sides.
:P

You should spend some more time playing MP, so as to develop a better understanding of map balance. Study the default maps. Come on the dev server and ask for good opponents. Etc.

By the way, I do like the artistic spirit of the first map up there. Maybe you could use it for a campaign.

The jungle map seems seems very unbalanced to me, escpecially for double drakes vs. doublde knaglan, I assume it is a 2v2. the drakes can essentially ingore all the deep water and the knaglans with theire 4 mp movement would be hard pressed to get anywhere on this map. Not to mention the hat with all that forest clumped together rebels would own on here.

Making drake proofs map is impossible, at least if you actually want the map to look like something.
Maybe pointing something obvious, dwarves were not made to fight in forests, and this is a jungle map.

Because you'll be losing many unit, and if you can't recruit any units the game will last 6 turns lol.
And why 30% exp? Because getting more powerful units makes more interesting than using the same units. Plus whoever levels gets the advantage of breaking the defenseby attacking the weaker units.
This only work if players 1 and 2 are no retards and stay in the fortress, defending it, and not attacking the attackers.

no.

30% XP just unbalances the game, it doesnt come along with any benefits.
and 5 gold per village is just overdone and getting tons of units per turn spoils the fun and flattens the game
(in the fortress .. there are ... 14 villages, makes 70 gold per tun, that makes 5/6 grunts per tun, this is just lame

on the other point ("what should the 'defenders' do") i dont say anything, but i guess it can be fun to crush the attackers ;)

anyway, i woudl play the map for fun, but surely not with 30% XP, and not with 5 gpv
