[Complete] Tournament of Champions 4

Post by Noy »

Its been awhile since we've had one, and after a bit of cajoling I think I'll set up a tournament for october~november. The organizational details are to come, but it will be on stable for now.

But first I'd like to see who might be interested. I think I'd like it to be 16~24 players to make it manageable.. but if the interest is there maybe I'll open it up.

Nope, btw, much as I'd like to, I've been finding myself extreamly busy nowadays, I don't know if I'll have more time later or not.

^ Well I was thinking it would work like this if we had a 24 person Tourny.

First round: best two out of three - 7 days: 24 players
Second Round: best three out of five- 11 days - 12 players
Quarterfinal; best three out of five - 10 days - 6
Semi final; best three out of five - 10 days - 3 players + 1 one wild card
Finals; best three out of five.

I was thinking there would be an accelerated knock-out bracket from the losers of the first round, the winner of which would re-appear in the semi finals, though it might be made redundant. I may even make the second round best out of three, and start the knock out bracket there... But I need to know numbers. I think we have seven with the people now. Maybe 16 is a realistic number.

Well, I still can serve as some cannon fodder ;) So sign me in (Pagan).

Also I would suggest 2 things:
1) Ask every potential participant to specify his timezone. mine is + 2 GMT
2) Keep your header post updated with list of people who has already signed up (and their timezones)
I can see you!...
