I can't edit units

Hello everybody (my first post here)

I discovered this fantastic game a couple of days ago and I'm totally stick to it. As a role games player for many many years, I think that I can contribute creating units, and I tried, but when I red the info about creating units in the website...

The easiest way to make a new unit is to copy and paste an existing unit, then modify it. Navigate to the game's data/units directory and copy any unit.

I navigated to these directory but I don't have an units folder...

Any idea...?

Maybe look around a bit? It's now data/core/units.

Anything else...

I think you're looking at your userdata folder, in the real data, there's a core folder in which the standard game stuff is stored.

So... where I suppose to look for these folder...? I'm in Linux, by the way...

/usr/local/share/wesnoth/data/core/units.
Or maybe just /usr/share/wesnoth/data/core/units, depending on your distro.

Also, locate wesnoth would have gotten you this answer a bit quicker.
