Re: Wesnoth 1.4
Hmm ... let's tread carefully here.
Anyone know what Brian Pepple is up to these days?
(Oh, and on a completely different subject having done a bit of research, Wesnoth 1.3.19 for Fedora appears to be available at http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/f ... /Packages/ so presumably Wesnoth 1.4.x is going into the development repo but not the Fedora 8 repo. Although I haven't tried installing this into Fedora 8 yet. Still, it worked for Firefox 2 in Fedora 6.)

Here are Fedora 8 builds of my opensuse packages. If you are interested, give them a try.

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
Fantastic the packages for OpenSuse. Too bad that in the YasT they are still in 1.2
I'm trying to install the editor, but I'm lacking a dependency, liboost_iostreams-mt.so.3
Where can I get it? Can't find it in Yast, and Google returns nothing on this

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
Geos, do you have OpenSUSE 10.3?
If you don't add any additional repositories, yast will present you what's on the installation media.
By the time of making 10.3 this was Wesnoth 1.2 as the current stable version.
Just take a look here to get the newest stuff for OpenSUSE:
http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/WesnothBina ... F_OpenSUSE
For 10.3, use the OneClick-Install link, choose wesnoth 1.4 (or the editor) and you are done.

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
Yes, I switched to Linux some months ago. I though, innocent me, that the repository would update by himsefl. I mean, not the repository himself but the content of the repository. So I guess I will have to add?? repositories you said? Can't I just update the DB of the repository I have?

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
I just wanted to report that this version compiles and works great on the eeepc. I followed these instructions on the eeeuser forum, and started the first time with wesnoth -f -r 800x480. Now this tiny laptop travels with me everywhere!

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
Have yet to find a site for downloading new user made campaigns to Version 1.4. As a person with dialup, I can't rely on the campaign server feature on the game, as larger files take too long with dialup and will not complete. I've tried over 200 variations of words to try and find this site, but so far, I keep getting the same "Download Wesnoth Version 1.4" sites. For 1.2 and 1.3 (and all in between) I used
http://wolff.to/campaigns/list.html?sort=timestamp_down
to download the larger, user made campaigns. Can anyone help narrow my search by providing a link? Thanks.

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
There is no direct download site for the 1.4 packages so far. And I have no idea if/when it will be available.
