For Your Amusement: Current 1v1 Map Usage Stats

Post by Doc Paterson »

One year ago, a survey of 200 random games returned the following results.....

1. Blitz (24%)
2. Den of Onis (13%)
3. Charge (12.5%)
4. Caves of the Basilisk (11%)
5. Cynsaun Battlefield (7.5%)
6. (tie) Sulla's Ruins (6.5%)
7. (tie) Silverhead Crossing (6.5%)
8. Hamlets (6%)
9. Meteor Lake (5%)
10. Hornshark Island (4.5%)
11. Sablestone Delta (3.5%)

I tried this again, to see how much things had changed in a year. Here are the stats for the modern era: (This is Dev release, naturally.)

1. Caves of the Basilisk (16%)
2. Weldyn Channel, formerly Blitz (15.5%)
3. The Freelands, formerly Charge (12.5%)
4. Den of Onis (12%)
5. Hamlets (9.5%)
6. Hornshark Island (9%)
7. Fallenstar Lake, formerly Meteor Lake (6%)
8. Cynsaun Battlefield (5.5%) *tie*
9. Sulla's Ruins (5.5%) *tie*
10. Sablestone Delta (4.5%)
11. Silverhead Crossing (4%)

Someone did something to generates that kind of stats automaticly, i don't remeber where the result is (if it still exists)...

Wow, it's great that we have access to those stats......I wish I'd known of their existence. :)

I'm surprised that my 200 game survey was accurate enough to get all of the 1v1s in the proper order of usage (the first five anyway, which make that list).

I'm gonna miss you, Jack, if the writer's strike continues. :(

It's good that the maps are played more evenly now I suppose.
