There are few problems with the motion of the clothes and hair, some parts are following the walking movement, some are hanging straight down, as if she were standing still.
The diagonal lines on the clothing are good, they support the tilting of the shoulders and hip in walk (though the actual hip could be more tilted).
The arms still bug me, the left one should still follow the walking rythm somewhat, even though it's holding the staff, the right one even more since it's free.

as usual, I'm not an artist, so I won't give any detail advice on how to do it
I'm just a trained amateur.
The foot is there a bit hard to see.
It's easier to see in higher resolution though.
Cape yep. Hip I'm afraid that her walking style already looks heavily exaggerate I will play around with the hips.Sgt. The left hand holds a bit of the cape while the stuff is used as walking stick.
I'm almost there the face is an quick cut and paste of the original. I want to redraw it completely so you can get an impression how it will look like finished.

Yeah, well done Shadow.
Just a little question. Why does her hair gets blown to the right and her coat gets blown to the left? Are there strange winds or magic involved?

Well thank you for the flowers. Yet I know you are right about the hair and the cape if I would have done it right the left side would have been to
noisy. I know this is an issue but personal the eyes and the hands bug me more.
Yet I'm tired to work on this further. Yet I'll come back to it because I think that's the first of my drawings that I think that it might be worth the time coloring.
Meanwhile I finished another overhaul of the Aragwaith.
Thoughts?
Personal I think he looks too noisy.

I think it looks fine. I look at it and recognize everything right away.
The TC ribbon thing looks out of place, but that's all. Maybe incorporate more TC-ness?

Longswordfighter lv 2. To smooth the transition between the new Swordmaster.Weeksy wrote:Where in the swordsman line is that?
Perhaps bettter he shares the backback of the Swordmaster. A partly TC'ed cape might work.Thrawn wrote:I think it looks fine. I look at it and recognize everything right away.

Um, by the way, Aragwaith Swordmaster and Ancient Banner's baseframes fill more space than a single hex. Take the sample hex template and put these unit's standing frames over it to see what I mean.
Then, they glitch when the user moves units adjacent to them. I know it's an engine bug, but I don't remember if any decission on non-hex masked standing frames and the engine constraints was made for 1.4.0.
EDIT: er, alright I can't attach the template because it's in GIMP's format and I don't have my computer handy to convert it to PSD.

TC'ed Dwarves:
- Arcanister
- Explorer
- Pathfinder
- Scout (which I think I'll redraw from scratch...)
They are lacking the animations, but I'll probably use the existing ones of the old standing frames as templates.
Also, a little experiment with the Dwarven Steamwheel, to make it look less gnome-ish. TC-ed, but perhaps I should enlarge the vehicle to make room of the dwarf.

About the base frames yeah I was already afraid about it. Though that won't get changed soon. Got not really much time.
The new steamwheel is nice.
The scout is not saveable the base is just too ugly either you or I should make a new base for him.
The rest is indeed nicer.
The arcanister has a golden circlet around his head. I tried to polish him more in the past but it never came far enough to be useable.

This is the plan animating these guys and getting some directional frames. Easy as always. Think big and fail whopping.
