I wanted to try making some sprites. So I'll post them in this thread since I didn't find a better place.

Critique is welcome :)

And here goes the first one... look! A TINY GOLEM!

He is indeed cute. He doesn't look like he'd be tiny in game though - he looks about man-sized.

That's because your standard golem is much larger than a man-sized construct. At least in a strictly fantasy setting.
Fear me! For I am higher level than you!

His arm is fat. :P
Attention!
I've decided that Wesnoth is not for me. It's not my kinda game, and I realise that I do not enjoy making campaigns for it. I will continue to visit the forums and play, but I will never have anything to do with WML.

:annoyed: He's fat.

But still, nice work! It's a good sprite!

I figured he deliberately had inhuman proportions to demonstrate that he had been shaped.

Maybe for its mutant nature. A monster is always a monster... A classic golem description would say that it's a powerful, giant rocky-type creature with unmatchable strength and physical defense, but it only lacks in magic defense, agility and intellect. Standing onto this description, it's quite obvious that has a high defense rate of blade, pierce and impact damage, while it's weak at fire and cold too I guess. He's also immune against holy, or at least very resistant (something like 10-30 res.). The golem is a stand-out creature in standard monsters' armies, and its presence in the battlefield may unbalance the rest of the game for its overpowered nature (like the Yeti though, only that he's a lv4!!). If you're planning to put that thing into a customized faction, remember to balance its abilities well (like 7-2 punch for example). Just suggestions... I wonder how it'll look its upgraded form... :?:
