If i could i would turn into a world ruler!
Oi!
The metal string concept is interesting... I will not bother how they make it since fantasy is full of things like adamantine or mithril.
I could say the wood would suffer on a high humidity place but can as well have some special kind of wood.
My last card is a bow would have limited use (for hunting) on a wet place. If the enemy is underwater (alligators, fishes) you can't kill then with a bow.
Remenber, Elven mastery of bow is due their use on hunting, as a warfare weapon, bow have limited use on a forest because of the cover. I find hard to think Swamp Elves would use a bow to hunt in a swamp.

I playtested the Swamp Elves, and I noticed something odd: the Swamp Archer is listed as a lvl 0 unit, but he costs 19 gold, which is more than many lvl 1's. What gives?
Also, it seems to me that they need some sort of an animal. Something you would expect to find in a swamp, like an alligator.

*the movetype is (hopefully) fixed
Just because I'm a master of fire doesn't mean I'll light your "uber candle"

Hmm i like the idea, but would like it alot more if there were more unique sprites in it, for example; for the scout instead of a horse, maybe a terradactyl?
I cant really see horses moving around swamps fast enough to imitate scouts
I'll start on some sprites which you may be able to use
*note, such a sad part of the film

I like this idea. The pterodactyl could soar over the swamps acting as their scout, while the infantry advanced. Still, as I mentioned before, I think they also could use a more typical swamp creature like an alligator. FireMaster, what do you think?

An alligator would be pretty cool, though i still dont see it as a scout, doesnt strike me as the fastest creature in the swamp. Perhpas firemaster could created such a creature for Wesnoth, e.g. some form of two legged bird that could run.

Wasn't there already a giant frog that served this purpose?
