Healing question

Post by tkilian »

is there a maximum number of HP a unit can gain in a turn?

I have a Grand Knight sitting on a village with a Mage of Light on one side and a Paladin on the other.

Yet I'm only getting 8 hp a turn added to my grand Knight

You only get healed by one source.

10hp is the limit, you have to rest for that to occur.

Think about it....generally if you're injured, two doctors aren't going to help you get better any faster than one is.

Yes, but having the same doctor treat you in a bed inside a village would help you get better a lot faster than having that same doctor treat you while lying on a battlefield, and would also help you get better a lot faster than simply resting at the village.

Basic idea is that villages would contain healers.

You get additional healing if you rest (don't move), this represents the 'you heal better when resting' component, and that does stack with the healing from the healer.

yes

Yes, but it still takes the same to heal the cuts. Thats the point, i think.

Actaully, the point is that if you allow stacking, it would enable almost invincable armies.

I agree.
I advise anyone who does not agree to try an "all druids" army. It's efficient enough as it stands now. If healing could stack, they'd be unstoppable.

actually, when there is magic involved (the case for all wesnoth units) I wouldn't bet that having the spell applied twice don't help...

but that's a question of how you imagine magic works...

so it'll work in the way that is the most interesting for the game
