Mistake in the 0.7.10 MacOS X Binary

Post by Mutxiko »

Today I downloaded the 0.7.10 Source, and compiled it on OS X 10.3.4, without any problem. The game worked fine.
Later I saw on the download page that there was a 0.7.10 binary for OSX. So I downloaded it, opened it, and replaced all the old files (from the 0.7.9 binary) with the new ones.
The editor is 0.7.10, but the game is still 0.7.9 ! There isn't the new Help function, there are no encampments... and of course I cannot connect to devsrv.wesnoth.org.
I have done all this three times, and now I am sure there has been a mistake in compiling for MacOS X.
Thanks you for going on bettering this game, and I hope you will manage to solve this bug. :)

Thanks for pointing out the bad drag-and-drop on my part. Sorry folks!!!

I have just uploaded the correct version and asked Miyo to relocate it. It is called Wesnoth_MacOSX_0.7.10correct.dmg so when that appears feel free to download, otherwise avoid!

They have replaced the bad link with the old one (0.7.9). The right link to the right file will probably be posted in a few days.

Subsequent ftp transfer was dodgy...

We finally have a binary which has made it through ok and this is being relocated as we speak. I'll post again once it is there.

when I tried to download the MacOSX binary file, the download changed sizes from 20-odd Megabytes to a little over 3. The download stopped and popped up with this message:

the following disk images have failed to mount

and it showed a table that said that the image was "Wesnoth_MacOSX" and that the reason was "no mountable file systems"

please explain what is going on and how i can fix it. The same thing happened with previous versions on the first download attempt but not the second, while this one repeats.

Which browser are you using ?
With Safari 1.2.2 ( v125.8 ) I have never had any problem.
Does this error occur only for BfW downloads ?
