Silverhead crossing replay

Post by Gallifax »

Hello everyone,

here is a replay of a Drakes(I) vs Loyals(reloc) on Silverhead Crossing.

I choose drakes . reloc got random loyals.

I'd like to hear some comments to what hcould have been played better (both factions)

I guess I was a bit too lucky there too- + 130 at the end I think.

So feel free to comment on all. And please strategic tips would be most appreciated:)

Regards Gallifax

Edit: The game took about 35 turns

Sullas replay- Drakes vs Northerners

Post by Gallifax »

Hello people of wesnoth,

yet another replay(save) from me. Unfortunately its not finished.

I am pretty sure I would have won though. I had enough level 2 units then to walk over him next day. My opponet seemed to have doubts about it.

Please let me know what your take on it is!

Well dalk we can still finish it, if you have the guts!:D

Its a drake(I) vs Northerners(dalk) .We both choose faction.

Its 28 turns long

So as it is a save don't forget to enable"show replay":)

Regards Gallifax

Here's a replay of a game with me vs Pietro (both rebels) for 1.3.3.

At last a final assault ends in a leader fight because pride is preferred to rationality :P

Soliton vs Pietro

Post by Pietro »

Hello, this is balance test.
I thought that orcs has advantage over undead on sablestone delta,
but this game didn't prove it. (undeads won)

We both choose races and leaders (I took ghoul, because he is useless in fights so he
has lowest influence on match).

Soliton (orc) vs Pietro (undead)
0:1

This game is also shows how WC are useful ;-)

Thats a Loyal vs Drake game.
It shows just how unusable WCs are in Loyalist vs. Drake.

1v1 replay....

Post by appleide »

Here is me making a bundle of 'mistakes' underestimating my opponent... Lucky I was able to recover from that.
I was Orcs, vs Drakes.
version 1.3.6

I forgot to put binary saves on so you'll have to unzip it...

LeGeR vs Gallifax, Undead vs Elves

Post by Gallifax »

Hello everyone,

Doc you asked for it , here it is:)

I'd like feedback on this one.

When I first realised my opponent was undead I was afraid he would use the time to build a wc army. The map is bigger now. (I do like that apart from undead doing this nasty strategy:))

So I found it to be like that:( . On a map where I don't have to protect the sides I don't have so much trouble to deal withthem. But here I thought I needed 2 units to cover the sides. Which of course would weaken my center.

Running after them proved difficult. I had a chance to attack at afternoon on the left, but deemed it too risky. (Your thoughts?)

I did not recruit woses as I thought due to them being slow I could only use them in defense on this bigger map.(Your take?)

I mainly did not recruit until later , because that way I wanted to safe upkeep myself and let him attack close to my castle. And counter that.

After I lost the left village and my fighter , I thought it was lost. Maybe I was mistaken there too. As he was so close to my castle.

After he also brought his leader in I saw the chance and took it.

So I won inly due to a mistake of a good opponent:)

So any kinds of thoughts , feedback, detailed analysis would be very welcome. :D

Cheers Gallifax

Really fun match to watch, and great ending. Hopefully the fighter-wose-adept-corpse ratios and interplay that we talked about (on the server) will be useful next time around.

Replays

Post by Gallifax »

@Sorrow: Glad you liked them:)

And hi again,

here a few more replays from 1.3.6.

The silverhead game was a very nice game and crazy played onmy side. Very entertaining you may find it:) 16 turns long. I could have won but played it risky , wanted to see the leaderkill work. Didn't work that time;)

Its a game on Meteor lake were we both choose faction. Feldorlas Elves vs Gallifax Drakes. 20 turns long.

Here another replay vs Kamnik . That is how it should have ended, but I made a missclick due to lack of focus an the game went until turn 29(that is a save!) The game was on Hamlets. And I did not recruit any Hi vs those amny skeletons;)

Another nice game to watch on Sullas Ruins. I vs homododomes. We both choose faction. He was loyals and I was Drakes. We played that as a rematch . The previous game was same factions, but I played badly and lost. This time I did better:)

So hope you enjoy them ;)

Cheers

Ok, this began as a test of selfcontrol for me and ended abruptly when I couldn't handle the pressure anymore, enjoy!

Pietro (UD) vs. tsr (Orcs) on 2p - Villages (1.3.7)

And some pointers on what mistakes I did would be very much appriciated (this is my worst match-up with my favourite faction).
