This was actually more intended as a learning experiment, which is why I posted it in the art workshop (wasn't that appropriate?). From my POV, it was a success, though, of course, I wish I did better.
It's how you get better; a lot of my early sprites were not accepted into the game.

I didn't think so; I thought it was alright, but not necessarily better than the current (really, only the pose and height are wrong with the current one).

There are much better things for people to work on.

Haha, my very first sprite made it into, and still is, in the game (fire dragon)

I just improve out of arrogance.

Well, he was good, but we haven't seen anything new recently. How about a sneak peak of the new Drakes, Neo? Or maybe a quick "look how pretty my Princess is!" pic?

This is kindof a shame. I really don't like the old Battle Princess look at all - she looks too much like a plastic figure with painted on armor and one big block of plastic hair.

the later edits with the silver hair that actually looked more like hair were, to me, a great improvement (In no small part because they actually seemed to match the portrait a bit.).

I agree the new Delfador definitely needs animations, but last I checked out that thread, they hadn't even decided what he would look like yet, with four or five competing sprites, so it's a bit soon to work on that, isn't it?

You people won't let this thread die, will you? Fine, be that way... there you go! :P

She's not supposed to be "the" battle princess, just a nice female warrior, so I guess this can be taken back to the Workshop.

Oh, that is all kinds of awesome. And hell, it's not like a battle princess would go wearing a fur coat and tiara onto the battlefield.

But I only changed one thing, she's just as tall as she was before!!!!!!!
:D

It's funny how augmenting one aspect of the body affects the others too.

Nice. One quibble. I can't quite figure out what she is wearing on the bottom. Is it a mail skirt, mail shorts? or some mixture of the two. I think maybe having the gold edge extend across the bottom of the skirt portion might clarify things.

Clearly, it is a chainmail skort.
