Third and final version of the outlaw, fixed head/face, tweaked timing for better effect, .zip with sequence included.

New guardsman animation. Never mind the the "phantom piece of helmet", it's just a glitch on the .gif (same thing that happened with the peasant). I checked the .pngs and they're clean.

It seems to me that when the Guardsman slams down his foot, his back foot should shift slightly also - after all, it goes suddenly from carrying all of the weight to carrying very little weight.

Very good, though. I'm impressed. ;)

The outlaw idling animation has been committed.

An updated list of what's been completed and committed can be found here.

The Outlaw's eyes still seem to jump in 1 frame, and the head still snaps oddly at the end.

The rest of the animations are awesome, but this one (even if committed) bugs me.

Does Wesnoth have a policy on drug and alcohol references?
We should.
Not that I don't think the average Wesnoth user, or even kids in high school, need to be kept from watching a dwarf drink.
But, you know, we might have elementary school kids play this game. So it might not be appropriate.
Don't go to Glowing Fish for advice, he will say both yes and no.

No. No. PLEASE NO.

Do NOT let stupid issues such as that stand in the way of an awesome idea. Please don't. An elementary school kid, IF they even play this game, is PERFECTLY capable of seeing a fantasy character, in an unreal setting, drink a drink which might not, for all they could tell, even be beer. Don't they see their parents drink the stuff all the time anyways?

I swear, the pro-censoring people are just getting worse and worse.

Oh, and BTW Redeth, nice preview! :D

Wesnoth is about armies killing each other, animated armies killing each other but still. Anyone too young to see an adult Dwarf drinking shouldn't be playing the game in the first place.

If you are really concerned about the appropriateness of alcohol there are plenty worse commercials on tv than having a dwarf sprite drink. Trust me, kids are exposed to alot of stuff even in middle-school. It not that bad...
Screw it... I can go without a sig.

I think he should have a beer bong. Or at least down the whole thing in one drink. I mean he fights untill there is no fighting left to do. His drinking should be just as gung ho!

P.S. I think it is an awesome idea
