Evil Campaign

Post by Lord Jevyan »

What about making a campaign in the Green Isle with Undeads Dominating? There are lot of liches that likes to fight each other... what about using one of them and leading him to glory and domination in the island fighting undead rivals and orcs? Isn't this a good idea for a new campaign?

Any idea as vague as that can make a good campaign, if well done.

Sounds good enough. Only thing I would watch out about is that Undead vs. Undead fights are often boring. Just think about some things you could add to make it better.

well there could be not many battles against other lich Lords...
In Green Isle there are many orcs and don't forget the Woses..
and maybe the humans are still living there in little hided comunities.

Well, the lich lords opened a portal, and the orcs got through it. So they would hardly fight them.
First read, then think. Read again, think again. And then post!

But didn't the Lich Lords lose control of the Orcs? If so, then they would have fought each other.

maybe put some drake explorers who landed on the isle for variety. It would be nice to see drakes in more campaigns.

There's a war between orcs and Liches but they don't work in groups ( orcs tribes are divided, undeads liches wants absolutely power on everything )

Every Undead is the slave of his creator but doesn't see other undeads as allies. Necromancers usually fight each other.

It seems like writing a good storyline is more difficult than programming scenarios -- because with scenarios you usually find someone to help, but a good story should be written by one author. So I recommend writing the storyline first, before you start coding.

A few ideas:

The hero should start as a servant of some powerful lich. He starts doing missions for his master (fights again non-undeads), but he gathers some powers and servants for himself... and then betrays his former master.

To make "undead vs undead" fights less boring, the liches could use just a subset of units. The explanation could be that they are running out of dead bodies. For example the liches have conquered the whole island and killed all original inhabitants, so there are now new bodies... and the old ones fall apart after centuries. Liches cannot leave the island, because... well, this is just part of their culture -- those who have their castles closest to the center of the island are the coolest ones, and if anyone would leave the island for a moment, the others would destroy his castle and ruin his reputation. So the smart ones send their servants on missions outside island to bring new bodies.

New special units - undead drakes.

this would be cool:
liches in green isle have builded shrines in Jevyan ( capital )
in these shrines, they can recall dead heroes from heaven like Konrad Haldric or Delfador. For some reason every lich can have only 1 hero as his slave...
This would be cool!
No peace for dead bodies of heroes! Liches Rulez!
After the first life they become slaves of the undeads... this is the cruelty of the Green Isle!
Do you like this idea?

I dont like the idea at all, it doesn't seem right that they can recall people who haven't been killed by ud in the first place.

who will make the campaign will have to find a good reason for that.
Let's just say that Liches there have becomed very strong as they can also see what happens in wesnoth...

ok then we should make the war with undeads who fight each other and orcs and woses and drakes.

Or we could make a campaign that doesn't works with the storyline.
Undeads allies and invade wesnoth. You must guide the liches against the Great Alliance of humans dwarves elves and ( would be cool ) orcs.
