There are some new base frames here (the goblin+wolf line):
http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 224#138224
We're getting close to having several races finished!
If you guys pump these fellas out quick, they'll make it into 1.2...
(And finishing the normal frames for the L1 rider is a higher priority that getting his (rather long) movement animation done - I would welcome any work from someone who can at least finish the normal frames for that guy, since they are much more visible at the current time than the movement animation.)

Ok - I remember that thread. I thought the conclusion was to let it stay.zookeeper wrote:Because it didn't look good and also for reasons discussed a bit here.Mille wrote:Why was it removed?
Perhaps you are right that it isn´t good enough now, but for the moment it is the only reference for it, and so i think i should stay, for having animators something to start.
So at least after 1.2 it should go into the development version again?
Yes, that's a very viable option.Mille wrote:Ok - I remember that thread. I thought the conclusion was to let it stay.

Another reason for removing the movement animations (the old elvish fighter movement anim, too, as well as the horrible vampire bat movement sound) was that the current way that they work (animation WML + animation engine) is very inadequate. So better wait for decent code support for them first.

Zookeeper: I take it that the elvish fighter movement animation was removed - if it wasn't removed, remove it for 1.2.
THIS, is very useful, and has been committed. Thanks to you, that unit will change color to match its team in the next release.
This is what I want to see!Flametrooper wrote:I did the dire wolver.

Well, since I've already done two, and no one else appears to be doing them, i will go ahead and finish up the line. Today the wolf rider, tomorrow(hopefully) the pillager.

Yes, yes I do want this. Thanks guys!
Gosh - I'm almost out of unmade TC base frames - the only one left is the revenant (which, at ... two* frames, should be nearly piece of cake for you to make). It might be a little tough for Flametrooper, since the sprites are so different, but if both of you work together, I'm sure you can get it done.
I'll try and make some more base frames (dwarven fighter line) tonight.
* We'll let the old death animation go - it's too short to be worth saving.
