Extended Era revived - version 36

v 0.9some balance update (especially the L1 Chaos from Pietro), and a lot of animation update, now at least every melee attack should have a miss and a hit sound.
Current plans :
- normalize the animation timings (yes it is not done yet) -> 0.9.1 ?
- make real shadows on some units
- resynch Sidhe animations with IE (not the stats, they don't work for XE's balance)
- balance the L2+ chaos units (Pietro's plan)
- add texdomains and submit the era to wescamp so it can be translated
- open a SVN somewhere (since i'm no longer alone)?
- make archives of a few factions so other can update them easily (for animations) (Aragwaithi, and possibly Dark Elves, Sidhe & Kalifa if requested) : after the timing normalization

Wow, the changelog becomes longer and longer! .
Here is a unit idea for the era:
The Elvish Fighter could advance into the Elvish Lord and into the Elvish High Lord.

Noyga: You could add some portraits to your era.
Actually that makes no sense but I think it looks nicer if you have a visible portrait in the description of the units. IMO you can imagine the unit better,if you have a portrait next to the normal image of the unit.

For this (except for the aragwaithi female), i would need to duplicate all these units (which comes from mainline) just for the portrait ...
A lot of new units to maintain and resync all the time with mainline, it's not worth the cost IMHO.
I prefer to concentrate on the custom units (like the aragwaithi sorceress) and let the mainline unit be improved in mainline, people like art devs and zookeeper really do a great job for this.

A new version of Extended Era, great! :D Maybe soon the Extended Era overtakes Wesnoth with the version number. :P (I hope this is understandable)
I like the Extended RPG Era. Nice idea :) .
Here are some hmm..., I don't think "bugs" is the right word...
Maybe somethink like "fixable things" fits...
I the Extended Era, there are two dwarvish fractions, under the elves, the Dwarves, and at the end of the list, the Knalgan Alliance.
The missile attack icon from the Rogue Mage is missing.
And in the dwarvish faction in the Extended RPG Era is the dwarvish Fighter two times, too. (Under the dwarvish Guardsman and at the end of the list.)

I've prepared the Desertelves for the Extended Era. (Not the Extended RPG Era). I hope it works. If you want to add the Desertelves to your Era:
Here is explained what to put where:
The bola-ne.png and bola.n.png images need to be putted in the /images/projectiles folder
The folder "desert-elves" need to go in the /images/ folder.
The bolas.png image need to go in the /images/attacks folder.
The extended.cfg file needs to go in the /eras/ folder.
The desertelvesextended.cfg file needs to go in the /factions folder.
The desert-elves.tree file needs to go in the /doc folder.
And the rest of the .cfg files, the unit files needs to go in the /units folder.
I hope I haven't forgot something.
