That central continent makes me think of the Americas...and I don't know what the others are supposed to be.

They are not really supposed to be anything. Just random.

We need to make a "skip turn" option. When the map has FOW or is hidden it is your turn again in a matter of seconds. We need an option that allows us to skip the animation and go straight back to your turn. :?: :)

There is a "skip AI moves" option under preferences.

There is also a show combat yes/no option in preferences.

But it changes nothing with the AI's taking horrible long for its move if there are lots of units.

I started playing the map just for the hell of it, and well, it takes the AI a total of 3+ minutes to go through players 2-9. I DO intend to finish the game, eventually. I just need a day to waste.

Someone has finaly made a big map in this age of miniaturisation of the wesnoth maps
Way to go
I did beat it but in 1v1 and that is the only way it doesnt take AI too long to move
Btw, any people interested to play this in MP ? We dont have to finish the game at once . Just save and continue in any later oportunities....
Theoretically, love is great
but it is a little bit different in practice.

I could see an entire campaign coming out of this one single map. This looks like some big fantasy world that could be a lot of fun to play. I won't say anything about balance since from your first post it sounded like you weren't that interested in that area ;)

I'd play the map once just to see how it panned out.
What if nobody ever asked "What if?"

I like how this map looks. Not sure about anything else, though.

Even if I really agree and sympathize with you American guys, this is getting a little off topic.

The biggest map I've ever played (highly unbalanced, in favour of elves) was the map of Brittany on the french wesnoth website :
http://wesnothfr.ww7.be/

(notice the anti - DADVSI banner)

I just can't find back where it is on the site, so I send it.
