It went wild. That's why I executed it. My way of 'locking' a thread that's outside of my jurisdiction. No one took the hint.

No, no, you got it wrong:UDD wrote:If you're going for wosi in a similar way to bonus=>boni, then it should actually be "wi", which is not dissimilar to the upcoming "Wii".
That's it, I vote for "wi"
it has to be "Ni!"

Searching the 'net comes up with a few definitions for "Wose": 1. a tribe of men from the works of Tolkien. 2. A mythical beast similar to a sasquatch. 3.A middle-english term meaning ooze (and can be used as an insult much as "you slime!" would be).turin wrote:You asked an obvious question (wose is a real word, and it has a real plural, "woses" - look it up), and then people got bored and decided to go on random tangents.
However, since none of these definitions refer to a race of treemen we can't assume the same pluralisation (which varies between the different meanings anyway).
Wearing my serious hat for a moment, I believe the best suggestion to date has been "Woses" amongst commoners and "Wose" amongst the more sophisticated.
