Mortless: Uh,... You're right... But still it sounds weird... maybe "Vladyka", but I cannot find it in dictionary...
Alks:Yeah... I suppose that is for the best. Leaving this kind of things in Polish (Or maybe in language of the one side? I mean german units with german names?)is imho best...
Kitajec:Wow! Your art is really great! I am amazed... I particulary like the "pirate" unit...

More crimson than the blood that flows,
Lost in the depths of time,
I call upon thy name!

Nice artwork. Have you in mind of making frank heerbanns? Even if unique units like Francisca throwers or Huskarls (they're not franks, though)? It could be nice.

Well, thats XI century, and Franks throwing axes (francisca) were fighting with Roman Empire abotu 500 years before... :)
in XI century Franks looks rather like Germans (there were no big differences in weapon and clothes*) You can see tipical XI western european knights and warriors at the Bayeux Tapstery http://hastings1066.com/.

Huscarls were Scandinavian mercenaries in western Europe, in middle-eastern Europe they were called "Varangians" **

*well not so big to draw them in Wesnoth (72 -72) :P
** All Scandinavians, travellers, setllers, merchants and warriors were called Varangians. So thats the same as VIKINGS i think

It wasn't. There was Wolin, called also Julin or Jumne, city of Slavic pirates, in which also dwelled Scandinavians - according to contemporary chronicles. All data about Jomsborg is based only on sagas from ICELAND from XIII century, while no contemporary sources (or archeological data) supports it. Jomsborg is a myth.

Could you recommend me some source on this subject? I'm infinitely curious.

Aren't the heads too big on all these units? There doesn't seem to be enough detail in the faces to justify all that space.

Your right Mortles, Poludnica is a monster that attacks in noon, on the plains.. and Strzyga is rather something similar to Wampire.

i tried to make them the same monsters (1 lvl and 2 lvl) but it doesn't make sense. sorry, my fault :) and i'll change it
