Yeah... This Perun and Veles seems good AND quite hictorical accurate, too... I like it...
As for vodnik, spirits and Baba Yaga I have only one word: Cool!
Heh... And what about "Cottage on chicken leg?"
Darkness beyond twilight,
More crimson than the blood that flows,
Lost in the depths of time,
I call upon thy name!

Viliam wrote: This is my idea of Slavic Wesnoth...

Slavic factions -- they should not use the actual names of gods, but the division should follow the pagan religion:

Faction of Perun (order, civilization, weapons, thunder, lightning) -- a regular army (axes, swords, bows), priests (healing, fire magic).

Faction of Veles (chaos, nature, water, underground, music) -- mages and witches (cold magic, teleport, stone, poison), monsters and beasts, criminals, living dead.
I know Sapkowski quite well, but idea of Wiedźmin Wesnoth would seriously spoil the basic idea of "historically correct" Slavic faction, with some mythical additions - not the other way around. When we both(me and Kitajec) get down to that, maybe possibly many faction variants emerge. But I personally have some other dark-fantasy era idea in my head and perform just as representative of Kitajec(who should register here soon).

That is a good idea. The Veles(or Triglav) faction may have as worriors Strigas, Vodníky(maybe), Nightmares, some undead, and some frenzy warriors. Maybe Vikings, or Avars.

The Perun faction may have the Iron lords (Přemyslovská heavy armored cavalery), Bowmans, other living, and something like Priests of Thunder.

Hello, Im the author of that units.
Well, my idea was clash betwen "slavic" faction vs "german" faction

I've tried to create these pictures historical, (ofcourse not in 100% :)

i'm a little bit busy, but i'll try to make all basic units soon

in my concept there are 2 kind of units for both sides : soldiers and heroes
example heroes >> Slavic - Prince (Ksiaze, Kniaz)
>> German - Imperator, Warrior Bishop etc

mercenaries, from all neighbours:
>>>wiking Waregs (or Huskarls) Hungarians, Prussian warriors, etc etc

and of course:
Mythical creatures from slavic legends
>>> Rusalki, Wodniki (Utopce), Borowy, Polodnice, Strzygi and many many more (sorry for polish names of them :)
:))

maybe some animals as Bears or Zubry

So, thats my vision... what do you thin about that ?

Sounds very good. And very historical-like.

Don't worry, they're very realistic (by the way, the horseman is very close to the nobles of Barbarian TW...it's my impression?)
Slow and steady wins the race.
...but he could regret it...

I suppose it is better to use word "Duke" or something like that(not sure what word to use...) cause Slavic leaders weren't kings...

I'm for leaving "KNIAZ" unchanged. It would be the same as translating "JARL".
