it is very good but i dont think it fits with the wesnoth art "style"(?) very much :) :|
Wesnoth's art 'style' is being updated in more than just one area... the change to the castle seems to fit with the new stuff I've seen fairly well.

:?

I don´t like the keep towers, they are too childish. But iit´s good, I couldn´t do this.
First read, then think. Read again, think again. And then post!

pekka, could you post what you got so far? I'm eager to get this in, and if you don't have time others can finish it :)

Back from the holidays..

Ok, here you go. I need a blessing for the castle graphics so I could continue my work with the keep. There are so many adjusting layers (dirt, shadows, outlines etc.) that should be merged. The keep is quite ready IMHO, as you can see.

Modifications in the castle and keep:
1. Adusted colors and contrast again
2. Polished keep tower (hope you like it)
3. Added dirt and floors to the castle
4. Added some outlining to drag the castle up from the terrain.

I assume that the terrain should be in the back, buildings in the middle and the units in the foreground.

I adjusted the colors with two monitors, but again I'm not that pleased with the result in the third monitor.. But still good enough for me.

What? I couldn't attach the castle graphics, and the files are far smaller than 512kb.. :(

At least you can see the keep. Should be still lighter? The castle walls look the same.

Looks good to me. I'll PM you about sending me the gfx if you can't upload here. Attachment quota might be full again.

Edit: the quota has been upped. Could you try again?

Now it seems to work fine. Here you go.

Those three keeps are for comparing brightness/contrast -settings in different monitors. I made them mainly for myself, but you could also tell your opinion about them. The middle one is the best, I think. It's so hard to make the final color adjusing on a laptop..

IMO the far left is best.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Walls look good ingame. Both the left and middle keep looks good, althought the left one fits the walls best if you not intend to color shift them also.

I'll commit this as soon as you post the keep tiles.

It wouldn't be hard to color-shift the walls, and the middle keep looks closer to what I'd hoped for the "good guy's" castle.

We'll be getting an evil castle, sooner or later.
