Crazy horse

Post by wayfarer »

No not the famous Chief and no no cape I regret this.
I'm creating some horse based units so I created some further frames.

This here is only useful for people who can use a graphical editor without getting a screaming fit.

Thanks to Aserje for some of the frames I reused.
Well for what you can use them for example creating further animations for existing horses creating your own new horse based units and if you really like them you can use them to decorate yours walls with it.

This images could be used to create moving animations I will send further updates but for now it's enough.

Great work!

The lines on his belly make him looks a bit thin and skeletal. Other that that, great work. You're style seems to involve more detail per pixel than my brain can handle though. =)

I didn't know you could have units face more directions than left and right.

You can't, but you can have the unit use different ANIMATIONS for when it moves, attacks and defends north, south, southeast, or northeast.

Note for Darth fool - if you want to make any death animations with horses, the set of six images on the left side of this sheet will really help you.

Because then they will be good animations, worth the time it took to make them.

I suppose I should help by putting a rider on the horses, and having him fall with kinematically correct behaviour, but I won't be able to do that for a few weeks.

I'm probably the first who got the doubtful pleasure to test this frames. Half of them unsuable code wise so didn't use them. The rest works mostly fine only the ne direction is a little bit tricky the rest works with some choke and folding. The n and s animations aren't that impressive but it works.
Die and defend are working so nothing more to add.

I want to see how those look in-game. Especially the death animation.
