Zombie Wolf

Post by Vyncyn » January 5th, 2017, 8:55 am

I know some people have already made zombie wolves, but as far as i know they don't have animation and none of them have been committed for mainline yet.
Anyway, here is the one I've made a while ago, but never got around using for anything. It might need some changes and I'm willing to work on it (though it might take some days before I can as I'm currently working on some other sprites)

Animation is nearly done exept for north and south facing attack, but they would obviously need to be redone anyway if I change the base image.

it's nice, but could you make the skin more naked in random places? and give him a more zombie-like color. the death animation is mainline quality, btw!

That looks great!

I think the fur's fine--it doesn't change color when an animal dies after all, but the skin looks a little blue next to the yellow fur, so maybe the palette of the skin should be shifted a bit.

skin and fur palette were taken from the zombie horse. I tried changing the skintone, but results weren't good, so I made the fur darker.

Hmmm...I know the base wolf doesn't incorporate team color, but I wonder if this one could have something like the Mudcrawler's eyes that change accordingly to the color.

TC eyes on the wolf looks weird to me, but how about this:

I agree that the eyes would be weird, but this doesn't make a lot of sense either. If we have to have TC, a collar would be better. You would only see a little of it, but it's the same with the bat.

Edit: I forgot to say that I noticed that the shading was touched up a bit, and it looks great!

The latest ones look good, but I agree with beetlenaut that a collar for TC would probably work a bit better.

I hope this is visible enough. If I make it bigger it's just going to look unrealistic

Both look really good! I think thw soulless Version could be a bit bigger to make it easier to distenguish them
