I agree - I think I'll commit somewhat of a combination of the two.

heh, sorry jetryl I wasn't obsessing over the fact that it needed changing I just noticed it :P
they both look better, I like how shadow's has a lower helmet line(and a dif beard?). I think the things that were the worst for me was just that the combo of his shield and his right shoulder are hidden kind of, so they looked a little like wings ;)
anyway, it just looked odd, but those definately look a lot better, I dunno why ;)

P.S. burdman post was hilarious :P

Oh, the red mark is supposed to be the brim of the helmet. I mean, it makes sense if the lower edge of the helmet is painted red. A brightly painted helment seems more appropriate to me than a dwarf wearing a bandana.

Edit: changed pinted to painted.

painted?

also, I think that a sentinel would have some sort of bandana (prolly the origional thought as well) because he is often out long times, watching for enemies and such, plus it would cushion the old helmet...

It's bright red, and a bandanna worn on the outside, for a reason - so he stands out. He's kinda like a standard bearer - he forms a bulwark of strength around which other dwarves rally.

a sentinel does that? not like a battlelord, or a warrior? I thought sentinels were gaurds/lookoutmen/scouts who were often by themselves patrolling around...

Much better. The metal still looks strange, but now the beard and spear aren't birds.

Looks great. Hopefully the same will be done with level 2 and 3 as well.

hmmm, I don't really like that beard or the eyes, well I do but I still like shadow's best =) still better than origional, especially spear.

I think if you had done that with shadow's eyes, it would be the best yet =)

I like it.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

it looks pretty good, its a lot different than the original! lol
well not a lot, but it looks pretty cool. I hope I wasn't offending anyone by bringing this up, I just downloaded 8.9(I think) the latest, and saw this guy. I hope any theories like the bandana being a rallying symbol or other such things were destroyed. I don't know if we have mutilated this image too much? I hope not. I think I have just looked at it too much to tell ;)
I think I'll steal that one and look at it on some terrains. =)
