Different movement dots on new maps

Post by WhiteWolf »

Hello,

I had an idea, which can be accomplished quickly and easily if accepted.
In my campaigns the companies often travel by ships, but this is not rare in core wesnoth campaigns either - (Heir to the Throne map5b, Rise of Wesnoth sea voyages, etc.)
Why not represent sea voyages with a different dot, namely a blue one?

Sea battles were currently solved with flashing ships, but that is not really in standard campaigns. Anyway, if that is needed, a little ship icon can represent ports or battles (maybe in Rise of Wesnoth it can be useful)

Including these could bring a little variety to the standard map coordinates.
An example from my campaign:

To implement it, you only need a new macro like NEW_SEA_JOURNEY, and it can be coded in a few minutes. (If the suggestion is actually accepted, I can do it for all campaigns...I don't know how these drills go :D but I'd gladly volunteer.)

Thank you for the consideration,
WhiteWolf

Nice idea! I'll surely use it for my campaign. It adds some flavor to the story screens.
