Hehe, I second what vultraz said - you could be a pretty damn good spriter if you wanted to be. :wink:

I guess some of the basic skills translate well enough, but the above is really more filters and vectors than pixelart. I'm so much used to working with the specific constraints of high res that I'm pretty certain I will go through every possible pixelart beginner's mistake the day I ever give it a try :p
