the overlords helmet/head is way to small
also, the whole design doesnt look good, since the original sprite wasnt good either.

i would possibly start over and make an awesome dark knight out of it and abandon the redish original

just IMO.

also i think it could stay mounted, mabe not nessessarily a common horse though
The best bet is your own, good Taste.

...

I liked the original sprite, especially the helmet, though I agree that it was a bit small.

I think I've expanded the head enough, if you compare with the Spearman, or even the Grand Admiral.

Espreon wanted me to get rid of the horse. The pony's not coming back.

Finally, the whole point of this is the respriting of older Chaos units. So no, making up new ones is out of the question.

He seems to be leaning to the right, but thats a nitpick. If you shift the torso and/or head to the left by a pixel or two, I think the issue would be resolved.

Actually, it was weird. I had it moved to the left 1 pixel, and he looked like he was leaning to the left. Then I moved him to the right and it looks like he's leaning the other way. 1 pixel's difference...

Maybe I'll expand his legs and see if that fixes it.

This is a small nitpick, but the horns look flat, especially their right horns.

I agree that his chest looks thin relative to his legs; this could probably be fixed by changing the shading so as to make his breastplate appear, rather than receding on either side of the centreline.

I agree with with the points raised here. The horns look a bit flat. I'd try giving it more shadow underneath.

It does look like he's leaning over to the right, or forward. Also the chest looks a little flat besides being narrow. To solve the leaning and flatness I'd move back his shoulders arms and head a pixel or two. It'll give him a less hunched over pose. But hey, maybe you want him like that I dunno.

I'll go back later. I'm not really sure what to do with the rest of Human-chaos, so I'll just move on to the more important Quenoth elves.

A basic idea for the fighter. It's not very polished right now.

EDIT: Beginning of the Shield Fighter.

First version of Shield Fighter. He looks a bit stooped, but he's holding a HUGE METAL SHIELD after all. Maybe I'll add a few pixels of height to him later.

I'm looking at his head gear and that brooch on the middle of it seems to be on a different angle from the face

Unless it's not supposed to be directly on the center, of course :)

OH! And how about giving the desert elves a more "tanned" skin tone? This characteristic is shown in their portrais, so why not in the sprites? (just saying, tho :hmm: )
