Re: Descent Into Darkness Campaign: Ghast Revision
As promised:
A general crit about your work, having looked properly up close: use more dark colours. Your work lacks a bit of contrast at the moment, making it feel just a little flat. I know I normally caution against using pure black or colours close to it, but in this case, it will help, particularly for doing the inside of a cavernous maw.

Bravo on the tongues TSI!
I added dark colors and tongues within the mouths, finished shading the last couple frames, developed muscle masses, and got the light from a consistent angle. The claws are still on my to do list. Much to my chagrin, the Ghast is starting to look rather green. For coloration, I am having a bit of difficulty balancing the Ghast's green shadows with its light skin tones. Got any ideas?

Re: Descent Into Darkness Campaign: Ghast Revision
IMO, I think the texture is becoming a bit too simple in places, which is why the green becomes so overwhelming... there aren't enough yellow shades mixed with the green to create the texture and color balance.
"I'm never wrong. One time I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken."
Re: Descent Into Darkness Campaign: Ghast Revision
Added more yellows and brought the shadows up to mainline standard. Unless I am gravely mistaken, I believe the Ghast's attack animation is pretty much complete.

Muhahahahaaaa
The only minor issue remaining is an absence of motion blur, but it shouldn't need much. Give it a try, then post the .pngs, and i'll get it in. Just to DiD for the moment, but I'll discuss with the other devs about putting it into core as well.

I'd just like to say thanks to Zerovirus for the finished base frame and everyone else who helped to develop the Ghast. Good job everyone!
