Thanks for the nice comments! :D
Skrim, I was a bit doubtful about the glowy eyes - I'm glad you like them!
StDrake, sorry... Can't make it right for everybody ;) But the armour is tranparent in some places at least.

And with this WSAS is really over for me - Yay! Link to all 25 portraits.
My 89th wesnoth portrait (Mainline to the left, Campaign portraits (LOW/DM/IftU) to the right)...

Something that strikes me as out-of-place is that the the elven portraits (in particular) have a slightly different crop than your WSAS images. Especially the Archer and the Hero. Generally you have cropped them between the waist and hip and the newer portraits are generally cropped slightly below the hip.

All in all though, congratulations on finishing this project and on the well deserved break. :)

Yeah, the crop is different - those are from the very beginning when I still tried to do something compatible with the old Lutes portraits. And most of all the new big portrait display allows us to show much more detail now.
Heh, there is a *lot* more wrong than just the crop with the Elves... I cringe when I see most of them acually. And they'll get updated as soon as I find time for it! New crops, better detailing and most of all new costume designs.

You weren't doing the Wraith in the end then? I'll get onto that at some point. Hopefully, i should be able to emulate your style.

I'll get these all committed in due course.

Congratulations on completely your WSAS project! I'm amazed at how prolific you've been, while maintaining superb quality throughout. Very impressive!

I hope you'll take a little time to yourself for relaxation before launching into further portraits. Wonderful as the rapid flow of portraits is, the artist's welfare is more important.

I never intended to do the Wraith - back in june you said that you'd want to try him based on Swing's sketch. But I can add him to my list, too - working with fancy transparencies is a nice change. Your call.

And thanks Sangel!

I suspect you'd wind up doing a better job, you're welcome to the challenge =)

I've got quite a lot still left on my WSAS plate and precious little time to work, so it's probably better if you do it.

Ok - then the Wraith is on my list (but I won't work from Swing's sketch probably).

Do you still have much WSAS stuff left?

3 sets of animations, 3 portraits, more or less. Hopefully should get some work done this week - last wee was a busy time for me, just started my new placement, and this weekend I've been down to see g/f in oxford.

How can a human be able to draw such awesome paints by hand? I'm really amazed, you must have studied art as a professional. I'll never be able to draw even a stickman and, boy, I envy you
