Grasslands

Post by Ayin »

As I was not totally convinced by the last grassland I did make, I did draw another one. Here is a new proposal for grasslands.

Note that the transitions were not yet made.

Very nice :P
I don't think we need to look much further.

I only have one small complaint. Only the color seems to change in the alternate tiles, the "texture" of the grass remains identical, causing a slight repeating pattern. Still it is very good as is.
Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

Thats totally true. I thought nobody would remark it (and am quite impressed you did,) but as I was wrong, I'll change this :)

I have done some transitions for those grasslands. Those are quite different to the older ones, but I did find it strange that grasslands to end the way they did.

sexy!!!! very sexy.

EDIT: It would be nice if the transition between the forest and the new grasslands merged the two kind of colors. I will post an example soon.

I like it. I like it alot. I think that having the grassland overlap the roads looks more disorganized, more medieval, more wild, and thus better.

:D Thumbs up! This is the kind of change I like - decidedly for the better.

:| I did like frame's overlap, which makes me wonder. Perhaps it could be saved for use with sand?

Nice job. I also like radic's edit, it makes sense for it to be a bit dark around the forest.
