Yeah, it's on purpose. I've chosen to line up the posts with the diagonal edges of the hexes. I don't think a right angle quite works for that, if the bridge is going to connect to the next bridge hex. I've also made the bridges "irregular" So they can blend with various perspectives better.scott wrote:I have something. For the diagonal ones, the post locations don't line up with each other, that is if you draw a line between corresponding poles, it wouldn't be perpindicular to the flat part. Is that by design?[/i]
Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

Sweet! That bit on land is a transition, right?Ayin wrote:Could you post your bridges, but as a separate layer? That is, without the water layer?
Bridges separated from water would allow them to be drawn over the terrain-to-water transition, and thus to have nice bridge ends. The following (quick & dirty) mockup should explain what I mean:
How would it work if the bridge ended next to a castle?
(don't have access to my files at the moment.)

Would be cool to have the bridge end in a castle gate in this case, but it might look a bit weird because of the scale of the castle vs the bridge.Ayin wrote:Badly. But map designers may just avoid doing a bridge going out of a castleEleazar wrote:How would it work if the bridge ended next to a castle?
Maybe a special bridge-to-castle transitions should be drawn.

Bridge tiles separated from background:
here are 3 bridges and 6 (quick) bridge transitions.
I'd be happy to refine them once the pieces show up correctly in-game.
