Heh heh. Taking cues from Diablo 3 now are we?

And this guy would be great as a generic portrait for the orc leader. Maybe not the whole line but a least the level 1. It's not that far different from the sprite, i don't think matching the helmet is all that important. Kitty, please reconsider.

Is it just me or does it look like he's sitting? Something about how his thighs are angled forward like that...

Indeed, I believe they were made slightly less rigid to add to the overall hunched posture, but taken a bit too far. Making the angle less severe or even leaving them as they were would work perfectly well, as the shoulders convey the hunch convincingly.

Just my thoughts.

Quick sketch of the Orc Assassin, felt like it because I'm reaching the limit of my rider tolerance to riders :augh:

The pose is great, but I think the mask is a defining part of the sprite.

Agreed - he's very very orcy, but i'm just not getting assassin - he doesn't have the mask, he doesn't have the throwing knives etc etc. However, give him a bow in his left hand and he'd be *perfect* as the archer =D

I think the pose looks like it´s been squeezed to fit the frame. I´d maybe reconsider the arm positions a little.

But the face is great.

Awesome sketch.

Duhh: thanks, I hadn't spotted that myself, but now you've pointed it, it feels blatant. Throwing his right elbow out of the frame and repositionning his left forearm might make him look more natural.

TSI/Beetlenaut: three throwing knives are hanging from his belt (bottom left corner), though having one or two in his hand might make it easier to read. The "mask" is a scarf, hanging loose below his neck.

Altogether I like his grin very much and would like to keep it, so I'm considering very seriousy the archer. :hmm:

That grin is great! And yes, he should definitely become the archer portrait. The assassin will need more straps/bandages/belts and his mask.

Yeah. The mask/cowl is a "mandatory costume element" for the assassin. I think repurposing this guy as the archer is a good plan.
