Right you are. I should have mentioned that.
The eyes are still a bit too saturated IMO.

That's quite a heroic looking goblin you have there. If it's not accepted for mainline, can I please use it for the Free Goblin Campaign (which is but a twinkle in my eye at this stage)?

You mean the wolf's or the goblin's eyes?
And yes, you can. I believe it would otherwise go a bit wasted. You're free to use it even if it does make it into mainline.

The wolf's eyes. I had a bit of a play and desaturated it. I'm not sure if I prefer it with or without the added specular though. [EDIT] Actually, as time passes, I'm pretty sure I prefer with. :)

Disclaimer: I have a CRT. It looks good to me but it may look awful on an LCD.

Awesome, thanks. :)

Oh. Well that does look a lot better. Thank you very much. Could you post the whole picture with the eye-desaturation?

I wasn't sure if you meant with or without specular, but it's easy enough to edit out if you don't want it (just replace it with the surrounding colour).

Thanks. I'm pretty pleased with both of them so it doesn't really matter.

He looks so... sombre. As if he's resigned to an unpleasant fate. :(

It looks commitworthy to me, but I'm no Art Developer. Jetryl?

Could you soften the highlights a little? He's rather shiny.

But not on the wolf, the wolf is fine.

Um, the biggest problem I still see with this is varied line width, (or in this case the lack of it) Everything is surrounded by a think dark line, which really detracts from what would otherwise be very good. I'd say you shoul just look at some other mainline work and pay attention to the line art some-especially the face (the sketch of it was fine, something was lost when digitally inked though, due to uniform seeming lines)

Besides that, I love the pose and costuming, and think it's greatly improved from the first attempt!

Well... I could try yet another rework of this. Or maybe just redo the goblin, if the wolf seems okay.

Wait for Jetryl, but I'd say that the face and the minor details *have* to have the lines changed. If you have thi saved with layers, simply changing the line art layer and making the rest of the resulting tweaks shouldn't be too hard, right?

You've obviously put ALOT of work/effort into this, but having good line work on the digital version is key (and something that I need tons of work on as well >_<)

I like the wolf--it looks good the way it is (^_^)
