I like both (I know that really helped )
The first tiles should blend a bit better with the environment the second well at the moment I look at them with CRT monitor and I really like them.
Just keep it coming great stuff.
/edit
Looking from a LCD I see what the others mean.
You could try to differentiate the stones a bit from each other else I see something like a flicker. Espeacially the hugh patches where more than 1 stone path lies next to each other.

I think that too, that the old stones are slightly overzied. That's why i'll give it a trie and start from scratch again with a size you mentioned, before moving back to what Jetryl linked.Simons Mith wrote:The new version is much more in scale with the buildings, but like hunz says, it's too noisy. I actually think your path versions have been better than the main stone path; compared to yours, I now now feel that the base version is too sharp and clean and also that its stones are slightly oversized. I found that very noticeable on the new Wesnoth 1.3.whatever screenshots. But I hadn't picked up on that until I saw your new attempts alongside. Using the original stone path as a reference, I'd suggest stones about 2/3-3/4 their original size, and using your new noisy path as the base, individual stones need to be somewhere between half again and twice as big.
Sure, but there are no transition tiles at the moment.Sabata wrote:But, can you give those littel ones?

The most recent revision's tiles are waayy too small - it might look fine on a CRT, where inter-pixel blending smooths things out, but on an LCD, it would look atrocious.Simons Mith wrote:The new version is much more in scale with the buildings, but like hunz says, it's too noisy. The last version looks like a rug.

After trying many styles of the stone path, wich always seems to come up with a kind of "noisy" tile. I finally switched back to the one Jetryl linked. I lost the original one, so i rebuilt it. That's what it looks right now.
Well, i don't know that. Best way is to look at some campaigns who already used some special terrian. For adding it to the editor you can take a look here http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16698kcits wrote:If i used the tiles, how would I add them to use in my maps? Thanks!

This is your best version so far.

Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

I agree. When looking back in the thread, the path actually looked to me like...hm.. Ice melting, when someone steps over it. Do you see what I mean?Eleazar wrote:This is your best version so far.
This one's a lot better and actually looks like a stone path.
(Although when taking a closer look at it, there seems to be some 'noise' again on the edge of the stones.. It's that .jpg thing again?)
I like the one on page 2 as well, with rocks with different colours too, although I think this one's better

I've changed the green color of the the space between the stones to a darker grey.
This new set of tiles is complete. There are variations and transitions within.
