...please remember that "IT'S" ALWAYS MEANS "IT IS" and "ITS" IS WHAT YOU USE TO INDICATE POSSESSION BY "IT".--scott

What's that thing on the left?
What's this annoying thing that appears at the bottom of every one of my posts?

less anime, more mirror for you :)

seriously though, look in a mirror from 3/4ths view. The head doesn't attach to the nezk via the jawline (that goes up to the ear), but rather that more straight piece of skin. Although yes, the jawline does need to be defined, it won't be as extreme as you show, and it won't have a line (maybe), only shading.

wshultzbach: thats the scarf-like thing shown in the sprite.

I'll be blunt: he looks fat. Almost obese.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, though.

I wonder which Kestenvarn was looking at... :?:

The portrait doesn't look obese (his torso is much too lean for that). He's round-faced, which is a nice change from the anime, elven-style teenage faces littering the game - IMBO (in my biased opinion). I'll go leave you art guys to it now that I said what I wanted... (go color, Thrawn!)

I see no problem with the chubby face, unless mages are expected to live by very ascetic standards.

The hood looks more like chunk of clay than a hood, though. Here's few references:

Made a small analysis for my own amusement ... you can discuss if it's right or wrong

IMHO , the line he drew looks more like the blue one.

... You need to get your perception of perspective checked. Seems to me you're doing some jaw-shaving surgeries. ;P

It's true that the current jawline makes the face look chubby, but the jaw is generally shaped like a square. And I don't have anything against a chubby mage: they're academics, in a time when academics are feared without needing to maintain a physically fit body. (You don't like how I look? Then burn!)

By the way, which mage is this for? Silver?

it is...that is what I said. And you do shave off parts of the jawline in all of the photos anyways.
