Wose - the serious thread.

Post by kshinji »

Because i cant comment in restricted area, i wanted to give my opinion here: the new wose sprites look like it was an apple tree or something.

[irony]
Maybe let's give it 3-2 ranged impact Apple Shot ?

I've never understood the logic that a sprite which is eighty times better than the current sprite should be kept out of the game while people bicker over trivial semantics. It's a tree. A tree can only look so much like a mighty medieval warrior.

Thanks for opening this - I can't comment in Art Dev either, and I've been wanting to say this.

I think the new Woses look fantastic.

I always felt that the old ones looked a bit odd, like big people with flat green stuff stuck on (whilst still being a lot better than what I could do).

But the new ones are just brilliant - they have depth, they have texture (how can you get that much definition into a sprite that small??) and they actually look like trees.

I've seen very little <Entity Native to Tolkein> art that manages to look like something other than a man with bad skin who has just fallen through a hedge. These visualiation of these things is great.

I'm dead impressed.

rockin' sweet. They look like real trees, yet still like woses at the same time.

That L3 redefines menacing. I can't believe that the new troll warrior has been displaced as king bad-ass before it's even in.

Ah, good to see a simple hack lead to something decent and useful. Very nice, indeed.
