Well in that case the standing animation could include the squirrel trying to jump away but the ogre would catch it mid-air.

How do things look now?

The thick black line between his stomach and his pants seems a little out-of-place for me. But, maybe it's because you haven't finished the shadows.

The ogre animation looks good, but his belly doesn't jiggle. That is the one point that my eyes have problems with.

Corrected that.

... It jiggles a little, as it should. A big pot belly doesn't jiggle like a fat belly (or like breasts to that matter :D).

I never actually noticed that the old one had a teddy/squirrel!
That's because he was never intended to have a teddy/squirrel. It was a smear of random brown pixels on a very poorly-made sprite.

Personally, I prefer if we removed it; more than anything else because we don't have proper support for making something like that a truly independent actor, and it will also be completely static, most of the time. If we were a 3d game, with good scripting support, I could totally go for that. I think it really won't look good in a game like this, though.

If you absolutely must keep it (which I can tolerate because this is a rare, rare unit), then it might work better on his shoulder.

Sorry, no gif this time.
Five attack frames, a defensive and a standing frame. All without shadows.
Tweak as you please.

I'll take a look on the orcish assasin.

Sorry.. but I had to say this one thing.

There has been an itching problem with me and the ogre. I wasn't going to raise it but...

The ogre faces directly at screen as if he is looking at us. facing directly southwards. While most of the units face SE or SW, depending on movement/attack. It would be a rather large thing to fix, but if no one else agrees, I'll be fine with it.

His facing is inconsistent with all the other units, yes, but...

Why is that a problem?

Inconsistency, in this case, is good. It breaks out of "everything being exactly the same".

I feel it to be a problem, because it just seems strange that as if he is staring directly at you, while the other units are looking at each other, as allies or enemies.

Specifically, it means that the only thing which identifies the unit as being on a particular side is the TC trousers. Most of the time one can also tell at a glance whether a unit is a friend or foe from the direction it's facing.

I should post [censored] ideas for unit redesign more often, they actually get used!
