Like this? :)
 Whoa! That. Is. Good.

All I can think of is that the chainmail 'checkerboard' pattern on his chest could be tweaked a little.
EDIT: Whoops, Jetryl already approved it. Nevermind then, it's still awesome.

No, that's one of the things I suggested fixing - it needs some shading on it. I'm probably going to apply some very small tweaks to the final version, once he posts the frames.

True. There were a few other small mistakes, I hope I've taken care of them.
Jetryl wrote:Do that, and post the resulting frames in a zip. Also, post the frames of the goblin in a zip as well.
Sorry it took a while, I've been off a couple of days. Here you go.

Screw it... I can go without a sig.

They are already in this thread in some previous posts (goblin spearman sleeping & dwarvish warrior flipping his axe in the air).

Honestly, halleck.

Think/read before you post. I just asked him to post those in zip files.

This one works as a one-time loop, meaning some of the images are used twice to revert the guy to his original pose, but the animation is not continuous. There's a small "phantom hand" glitch on the .gif, but the .pngs are fine.

The correct sequence is as follows:

[standing frame] - iddle1 - iddle2 - iddle3 - iddle4 - iddle5 - iddle 6 - iddle7 - iddle5 - iddle4 - iddle3 - iddle2 - iddle1

iddle5 (when he lifts his hat) lasts 200ms, as well of iddle6 (bowing) and iddle7 (blinking of the eyes). The rest of the frames are at 100ms, except the standing frame that stays for 2000ms (that is, two seconds on screen), but which is not an actual part of the animation.

edit: fixed the phantom hand glitch, but now it appears on the hat. It's very strange. The animation program seems to create this corrupted frames by itself, combining two different .pngs, when converting to .gif. Oh well, the .pngs are clean and I'm sure the problem won't appear in game so it doesn't matter, it just annoys me

Heh... Heh...

I like the first one better. The first one just has more variation although i still dont get how the pages turn without him touching them (is it wind?). I also think the second one doesnt last for long enough so it gets too repetitive.

Note that it's no problem to have long frames in animations - he could stop on that frame with the book open and read it for a few seconds before closing it.

he could be flipping the pages with his thumb. I like the flipping pages one better. Aside from the phantom hand which you are aware of on the peasant, that a neat animation.

The page flipping is good, and it could be wired to do that randomly.

Both of these animations rock. Way to go, man. Image

Thanks, this is the .zip for the runemaster.

And as a bonus, a fencer quick animation. I played around with wind effects on this one, and it turned out well, I think.

All these animations look excellent! I agree with Jetryl about the runmaster, lets use 'em both! The Fencer animation look good too but what is he doing? Just movin' around?

Well, you know those fencing guys, all pompous and ceremonious... I thought he could do some kind of ritual salute while idling, as if he were practicing his manners, before going into combat. :)
