Polished, Lost Art, good enough to Commit
Often good art work gets lost in the many pages of the forums.
This topic is for art that's been forgotten or overlooked. Do not post links for art currently or recently in progress (in last 2 weeks).
It's not "cheating" to post links to your own art, or art done years ago-- just be reasonable.
Please post the URL of the image in a [img] tag.*
If it is a GIF animation post a link to the animation (in a [img] tag) and a link to the actual frames.
If it's not worth your trouble to post links in [img] tags, then why do you think it's worth a dev's trouble to commit it?
Please include the name of the artist in the post.
This is not a place to argue about the merits of the art-- that can happen in the original thread. Posts not on topic may be ruthlessly deleted.
If this thread gets too spammed, it's use may be discontinued.
The Art-Devs will add comments at the end of the post, such as "Commited", "Don't Commit" or "Please Commit".
If a post get's marked "Please Commit" others with SVN access, and who know how to wire graphics in should feel free to commit it. When in doubt ask on IRC.
* In most browsers you should be able to right-click on the image and "copy link".

I think this is another nice work of Jormungandr and should be commited.

Human Swamp Village
I´m not sure. But i think this human swampwater village of me is quite good enough and at least it is better than just to have another version of the tropical village only.

How about this bat portrait by Khanstant? I think it's pretty sweet and definetly 1.2 quality material.
Signature dropped due to use of img tag
Jetryl's Graphic Library has many unused portraits that were clearly made ready for the game but just forgotten. There are the dark adepts, the unfinished saurian augur, a portrait of an archer, the elf shaman, an elf shyde (?), there are plenty of cases like this scattered throughout the graphic library of near-perfect portraits ready to use.Woodwizzle wrote:How about this bat portrait by Khanstant? Commited IIRC.Oreb wrote:There are the dark adepts.
Well, yeah...it's unfinished. Why would it be commited?Oreb wrote:the unfinished saurian augur
Commited, I checked.Oreb wrote:a portrait of an archer
They were judged unsuitable.Oreb wrote:the elf shaman, an elf shyde (?)
But you are right that there are probably undiscovered jems hiding in that library. Might take a squiz myself.
EDIT: There's a Ghoul/Necrophage portrait in there. Did that make it in?
With the exception of the human archer (by pekka, not me), these were all deemed unsuitable, and were not committed. Almost all of these are not mine, they are edits of other people's work, or instances of other's work that I simply linked in my posts to make it clear what I was talking about.Zhukov wrote:Commited IIRC.Oreb wrote:There are the dark adepts.Well, yeah...it's unfinished. Nope.Zhukov wrote:EDIT: There's a Ghoul/Necrophage portrait in there. Did that make it in?
I have more stringent standards of quality than you do. What you consider "nearly perfect," I consider rather shoddy. But don't worry; this is a good thing, it means that when I do get something I consider good, it'll be really good.Oreb wrote:there are plenty of cases like this scattered throughout the graphic library of near-perfect portraits ready to use.
