I upgraded Mountain Witch of wesnoth 1.12.
The changes are as follows.
Corrected missing of image and description of path.
Relatively simple fixes such as filter setting mistakes, many.
Upgrade .pot.
Although the macro which replaces the changed part of the variable etc is carried so that the save file can be used even after the upgrade, this may not be perfect.

It is an interesting campaign and I like the spirit units you command. However the main problem with the campaign is that as the story progresses the poorly translated dialogues become more of a problem. Really, you should find some translator for help. Some of the shorter dialogues can be hard to understand and the longer ones are painful to read. I am in In The Ruins scenario, there are quite a lot of dialogues and some of them are rather long, the scenario itself is also pretty long. There are 18 scenarios left and I can probably expect more of these kinds of scenarios, longer ones with a lot of dialogues that are hard to read, so for now I am not very inclined to finish the campaign.

I fully agree with the opinion that the text is difficult to understand. I have no friends who can speak English, so it is difficult to ask someone to translate. Since I usually do not need to use English, I was not trying to learn English seriously. In self study, it takes time to improve your English. I am seriously considering taking part in English school.

I personally am fond of such awkward translations. They make much inadvertent quirkiness and humor.
However, I admit that it does make following directions more difficult.
Unfortunately, I only know enough nihongo to say and understand a few greetings, names, and simple conditions, in addition to smattering of other words here and there.

Outside of working with someone who could take it from your native language to English, you could also see if someone would be willing to run with what was translated and re-work it into a passable English translation to make the campaign enjoyable. That may mean you lose some of your creative intent but will help in making it more playable for the larger community. I have done this myself and seen this done for others where English is not their native language.

I actually liked the "strange" English, it made everything more surreal. Though possibly one could use correct (modern) English for the people from the "now" time (the humans/dwarves/merfolk), and the current (machine-translated) text for the people from centuries/millennia ago (e.g. the spirits, ghosts, splittings).

I do not really understand how this can be a matter of taste, whether you like the poor english or not. Some parts of the longer dialogues are so unclear and contradictory that trying to guess the meaning and what the author actually meant is a bit like shooting blind. In some cases it can be impossible to get at the details.

Yes, of course: This isn't something like Makibishi Comic, where the surreal style is enhanced by the bizarre translations.
Above all: if it hinders the delivery of the story, then it fails.
Although Turuk had a good idea, if such cannot be done reliably for the entire thing — as with In The Ruins — then I think that there is no need to bother doing it for any of them.

My two cents on this would be to start at the beginning and walk through each scenario to build continuity and consistency. In order to save you the time and effort to make a massive file, it might be easier to just pull out one scenario at a time and have people work on it in unison. I would usually put the scenario within a code block, such as below, or you can pull out all of the dialogue chunks so you can easily copy and paste them right back into the file. Someone can look at the below and alter dialogue, such as:
