oh, I forgot. I felt quite disappointed that the merman I found would then just jump on the other team. I recalled him and gave him xp to get along and then he just dumps the team. And even gets killed immediately in action :cry:. Perhaps he could still be on the player's team after getting back home?

Now that the mermen outpost scenario got replaced with the swamp, he will stay with the player

Hi there. Here is a bug report.

When I try to launch this campaign on 1.13.8 (windows version) I get this error message:
The following add-on had errors and could not be loaded:
C:\Users\daiqu\OneDrive\Documenti\My Games\Wesnoth1.13/data/add-ons/Carved_in_Stone/_main.cfg

Please report this to the author or maintainer of this add-on.

Details:

Macro/file 'ACTIVATEABLE_BRAZIER' is missing
at ~add-ons/Carved_in_Stone/scenarios/05_The_Dead_Admonish.cfg:63
included from ~add-ons/Carved_in_Stone/_main.cfg:75
After that, I can't seem to be able to start the campaign anyway

Right, thanks for the note. You need the recently uploaded version of "Heroes" to fix that

Thanks for both this and Nightfall, I'm currently playing through both of them, versions CiS 1.2.1 and Nightfall 1.1.0+dev (uploads=2 in the _info.cfg).

In both campaigns, the Funga / Fungal / Fungalae enemies' sprites aren't found on a platform with case-sensitive filenames (Linux). The .png files have capital letters at the start.

In CiS, there are no enemies in The Dead Admonish. They're generated in the "side 3 turn" event, but this scenario only has 2 sides.
Currently updating the SurvivalXtreme Collection, and the SXC Pressure scenario. That's about a mermish necromancer, who's just found out that her Tentacles Of The Deep have been nerfed.

Thanks for the note, I fixed the spawn bug in The Dead Admonish and the shroom sprites for CiS and uploaded the new version v.1.2.2

Just finished the campaign, it was nice, not at the level of Ashen Hearts imho but still very enjoyable. A few notes:

Thanks for sharing your observations! I fixed everything except the Norn AMLA stuff, which I don't view as a big problem, either. "The Dead admonish" should be a lot easier now: less spawns and the spawned enemies don't attack directly.

The new Carved in Stone v.1.2.3 is up and the Heroes v.1.1.1. contains the fix regarding Onarr's regeneration ability not working.

Kwandulin, it looks like both the November release and today's release have version number 1.2.3, but different upload counts.

Wussel: lots of changes to map journeys, and the stuff in the spoiler.

Yeah, there are only minor updates, mostly another type for Gromsong and some changes related to the Heroes package. More or less a re-upload.

Carved in Stone v.1.3 (BfW 1.14.x only)
  • added Burlag to S3
  • added Bartolin to S4
  • replaced "The Dead Admonish" with "Lands of Fire and Ice"
  • replaced "Pathways of the Past" with "Frost Tunnel"
  • added the Icesaints to the Heroes package
  • Skjol is no longer a thane of Dulmrdyn, but an ancient protector of the bulwark in "The March"
  • redesigned the second part of the campaign: it is more centered around the contrast of fire and ice
  • Bear riders, Gryphons are now optional and can be achieved later in the game. You can unlock them. Scouts and Scoundrels are received once you meet onarr.
  • added the Gryphon Scout of AH to CiS
